Name 5 reasons why satellite is better than cable?

-I'll be surprised if there are more than 2The deal could be better in some cases. Local channels can be separate (you need to pay for them with cable). You might get both pacific and eastern versions of some channels, so you ca watch programming earlier or later.

There is no "plant" to be affected by earth based problems, such as power outages or accidents, at least small sections which only affect several cutstomers, so may be a lower priority for maintenance. Any satellite "plant" is in the sky, serving a lot more customers, so has to be reliable and kept on, or one or a few usually well manned uplinks. Basically so log as you have power to run a receiver and TV, and there is no major uplink or satellite failure (which they would fix PDQ), you will get your TV.

The only thing that would stop you from getting satellite, is if you cannot get an approriate view of the sky where the satellites are, or you live in a place where you cannot install a dish (most places with such restrictions have cable anyways). For cable, you can only get it where they have run wires.
there's a wider variety of channels available for satellite, you can record shows you don't have time to watch, you can watch recorded shows/movies as many times as you want, you can make sure you don't miss a new upcoming episode, and you can browse programs that are playing on other channels (the names) without leaving the channel you're on!
