Can you get better deals on cable tv if you go to the cable office instead of talking over the phone?

-I was talking to a guy in Boulder Colorado, and he says that the always goes down the local office and always gets a better deal. He has been using 'limited offer' deals for years that way. I tried it here in Denver and got the same rotten Comcast service/deal as over the phone. I even had to ask them for the 'special offer' that was special like a rectal exam!

I am gong with Qwest tomorrow. It took me weeks to manage to order it cuz their online website software is so hosed up. I would go with anyone else if I could find someone else. A friend is using McDonalds wifi with a special outdoor antenna he got off the internet. I am too far from McDonalds or any other free wifi.The best deal is to not go with cable at all.
