Can you connect to xbox live with a dvr and a ethernet cable?

-Can you please clarify a few things?



First, why do you want to hook your XBOX to your DVR?

If the purpose to get internet to the XBOX than this wont' work.



In order to get on Live the XBOX must be plugged into either:

-a modem/router/hub/switch

or

-wifi adapterNo.



I have no idea what you think you would accomplish with this but if you think you could record game play, it doesn't work that way. Anything else, you need to provide a lot more information in your post than what you have.
