Why aren't my xfinity recordings showing up?

-Okay, so I have this comcast Xfinity DVR. Yes, yes, I'm aware that comcast is a piece of worthless sh*t.

Anyway, anytime I record something, when I try to play it back, it just gives me a black screen. I can't fast-forward or really do anything to it.

I don't know what's wrong with it. It just stopped working one day. Even recordings that had worked before had turned to a black screen when I played it again.

Also, while I'm watching Live TV, if I try to fast forward, rewind, or pause the program, it also goes black and can't be fixed unless I change the channel and go back.



Any suggestions, aside from "get a new cable company/DVR"?
