What Does HD Ready Mean?

-Does it look better than regular tv when i play regular tv through it?



If i plug my xbox into it, will it look better than on a normal tvThat means you can plug a device in either via component cables or HDMI to get an HD picture. Plugging in something via RF or A/V (composite) won't look any better though. In fact it might actually look worse since you're stretching out a standard definition picture on a big screen.
HD ready means its tuner can only tune SD broadcasts. To watch HD, you need a external box to tune antenna or other sources, or a media player or game console with HD.

hd stands for high definition, it shows stuff in more pixels, if u get the 1080p hd lead for your xbox it looks better than 780p lead
Putting it simply! Your TV can give you a HD picture but not until your connect it to a receiver which is HD or a Blu-ray player.
