My sky remote is broken help!?

-When I try to use my sky remote the light on the remote itself lights up when I press a button as well as the light on the box but none of the buttons make it do anything!

How can I fix it? ThanksDo the buttons on the box work? if not you need to do a forced download from the satellite as your box has locked up. This is a common problem. First turn off the power at the wall, press in the backup button on the box, not the remote. Hold it in while you turn the power back on, keep holding the button in until all the little lights come on and a message comes on the screen saying that you are downloading from the satellite. Now let go and wait, it could take up to 10 minutes. Keep instructions for future use.
