How to set up a comcast dvr box to a tv?

-So... I really have no idea how these things work. I have a sharp tv that's used with comcast. i also have a dvr box. i need to set them up so i can record a show tomorrow!



Please keep it simple! I'm not good with this stuff...Here's one more thing you need to do. Check the specs on your TV to see if it has a 720p or a 1080p display. Now, after your DVR is connected and you can get its menu on screen, find the feature in the menu that allows you to change the box's aspect ratio. The choices should be 480i, 720p, and 1080i.



If your TV has a 720p screen, set the box to 720p. If it has a 1080p screen, set it to 1080i.



Set it to 480i only if your Sharp is an old analog TV with a 4:3 (old style) screen.



This important step will ensure that your picture size and shape on all channels and recordings is the optimum for your particular TV.
