-I'm going to be moving and was looking at my Directv account for moving info and saw that they also provide DSL service. Do you know of anyone who has this and is and is it good? Price, connection, etc.?
We will not need a home phone, as well use our cell for everything. My father HAD it but had ALOT of issues with it... He seriously had someone out monthly fixing it... I wouldn't recommend it!DirecTv and Dish Network are satellite television programming providers. They are not Internet service providers, and they are not telephone companies. They do (or did) provide bundled Internet and phone service with satellite subscriptions, but they are simply contracting with other companies for that, which you can do yourself.
If you are committed to satellite TV, look closely at DSL and/or phone offers from the local phone company or perhaps others before committing to a long-term contract with the sat. co.
If you are not committed to satellite service (you're beyond the minimum contract period), look into other options at your new residence such as cable, AT&T U-Verse, Verizon FIOS, or whatever is offered at that location. You could save big money with a new subscriber promotion from one of those. In the case of U-Verse, there is no minimum contract period (or at least there wasn't when I signed up).
DirecTV had their own DSL service. They sold that off years ago.
Any current offering would be a bundle deal with your participating local telco or independant DSL ISP. Look there and ask if they have DirecTV bundle deals.
