Channels from the 60's?

-Which TV channels were invented in the 60's? When, which channel etc.



ThanksThe only new U.K. television channel to actually appear in the 1960's, was BBC2, which was launched on April 20th, 1964.



BBC1 had been around since 1936 and ITV was launched in 1955.



After BBC2, the next new TV channel to appear in the U.K. was Channel 4, launched in 1982.to begin with we only had BBC 1 and ITV, there was no breakfast tv until 1983

There was little on in the daytime and certainly nothing during the night in the 60's

then came BBC2, mainly for sport at that time

it was a few years before we got channel 4 and then channel 5
